  1. Why should two people who are in love and respect each other be denied the right to get married? I have many gay and lesbian friends who are in stable, loving relationships.

What are you afraid of? What is the reasoning behind denying gays and lesbians the right to get married? Only closed minded indviduals want to deny these American citizens the right to get married.

  2. As a very right wing Libertarian, it may come as a shock to you that I personally along with a number of my like minded friends, do not really care about this issue. If you want to be Omisexual then that is the choice you make and its OK but the religious right really need to get with the program.

The issue at stake, is that unlike other States, Quinn and his band of left wing Juggernauts, did not offer a proposition or vote to the Illinois electorate. They viewed this as an opportunity to capture the alternative vote and that is what is wrong. I/we are not closed minded individuals, but the voice of the people should be taken into consideration.

    Sincerely Leonid

  3. As a "right wing" conservative, I'm good with Civil Unions. Call it anything you want just don't call it marriage.

  4. @Anonymous, why should millions of registered voters in Illinois be denied the right to vote on the question of whether marriage should be defined as one man and one woman? Millions of heterosexuals and homosexuals never got a chance to vote on this important issue.

What are you afraid of? What is your reasoning behind denying millions of registered voters their right to vote on this important issue? Only closed minded individuals want to deny millions of registered voters a vote on the fundamental institution of the definition of marriage.

  5. Pretending engaging in perversion qualifies as "marriage" doesn't stop making it perversion.

  7. All this noise for less tha 10% of the population. I'll bet that 80% of that 10% couldn't care less about "Gay" marriage.
