"Going forward, I will not be pursuing a political office of any kind."

Instead, I want to focus exclusively on reporting how local government spends our tax dollars. There should be no appearance of a political agenda other than to help reduce government spending.

  1. Many of us support your efforts to cut down on wasteful spending. We appreciate your work to increase transparency and open government. There is much to work in in Bolingbrook.

  2. I am disappointed, but will support you either way. The community is better with you in it.

Keep on crunching those numbers, and telling us what you find.

  3. Not an easy decision to make, I'm sure. Got to do whats best for you. Good luck.

  4. My wife has told Rhonda the same thing, "never say never."

We've got 18 months to change Rhonda's mind.

Do the math, Legal Eagle. You've got less than a year.

I'm betting the Bitch won't run again.

  6. Rhonda, I was saddened to read your news and I do hope that you will reconsider. I have known Roger and most of his congregation for years and everyone who has done business with him or played golf with him knows he is corrupt & self serving.

He has also been masquerading as a Republican for years when his true colors are blue.

I have voted for him in the past because it served my interest to do so, but over the past several years his arrogance and greed have gone beyond what is normal and he honestly feels he can do no wrong.

Your fiscal conservative approach had them all a little worried at the last election which is why they manipulated the ballots to ensure the First Party Candidates were at the top and split your vote by encouraging Ken Cygan to run. It is well known among local politicians that the vast majority of votes go to the first candidates listed on the ballot which is how Jim Curran got elected a few years back.

Most residents are not happy with their declining house values, the high taxes, the poor service and the spending of the school district, library and village. You have the opportunity of changing this but you have only been going three years. You need at least another few years to get your message out to the masses. I would urge you to reconsider but strongly suggest that you distance yourself from the crazy gang of George, Bonnie and Bob if you want to be successful.

  7. Rhonda, never say never. Please reconsider.

I'm an insider as well. What makes you a stronger threat is the fact that you don't have financial ties to Mayor Claar. Every single person in his circle are financially tied to him.

Many of them are good people, but can't go against him.

It's too early to give up.

  8. Two elections and two losses.

You don't want to make it three for three!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Your downfall was when you aligned yourself with Bob, Joe, Bonnie, Jay and the rest of their gang.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Downfall? Not as I see it. Smart move, Rhonda.

It's your path, not theirs. If you want to run, run. If you want to sit it out for a while, do that. You have a powerful message, and you're honest. Can't say the same for any of them.

Who gives a shit what they think.

My only advice to you is to ignore them, and keep moving forward.

  11. What downfall? What's with the doom & gloom chatter? Come on Claarites, lets keep this all in perspective. There is a world outside of the small one you live in, Roger's World.

It's good to see Rhonda moving forward and away.

  12. The downfall that I see is that Rhonda aligned herself with Bob The Bulldog, Joe Nap in campaign literature and Bonnie Alecia and Jay Washington from the rag blog. Because of this, she lost a lot of credibility with the residents. Even if she distances herself from these people in the future, the residents will remember her connection to them.

People are still talking about the "colored boys" comments she made months ago.

  13. Attention All Residents!

We should ignore all the good work Rhonda's done, and instead focus on Anonymous, 9:52am comments.

In case you didn't know, Anonymous, 9:52am would like to remind us, Rhonda aligned herself with the "crazy train" in the last election, and used the word "colored boys" in her comments a few months ago.

Be sure to commit this to memory.

Lets spread the word so that everyone knows who this terrible woman is.

  14. Appreciate the update, Anon. 9:52am.

A Friend, excellent idea. We need to get the message out to all Rhonda's supporters. Once they find out what she's really up to, they will most certainly change their minds, find the error in their ways and switch camps, support Claar and the First Pty or maybe vote for Ken Cygan.

I plan on using Facebook. Suggest you do the same.

God forbid we say anything positive about the girl. Lets join them in throwing as much mud as they can.

  15. Moot point. If you can't even get people off their asses to vote, why would they know or care who's aligned with who?

Looks like it's all clear for Rhonda if she wants it.

    No worries.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Clear alright! She got 9.79% of the vote the last time she ran for trustee. That was down from 15.65% that she got when she ran in 2009.

If that trend continued, she was set to get about 5% in the next election.

  17. Anonymous, 10:58am

    Please do your homework.

Rhonda was the only candidate on the ballot (other than the incumbents) in 2009. A total of 4.

In 2011, she was 1 of 5, plus the 3 incumbents. A total of 8.

To make it easier for you to understand, there were 4 additional candidates splitting the extra votes.

How many times do we have to tell you Claarites to bring your FACTS FIRST.

Stop the smear campaign and propaganda. No ones buying it.

Plus, Rhonda says she's not running. ARE YOU SCARED SHE MAY CHANGE HER MIND?

  18. I smell F.E.A.R., Anonymous 12:54pm.

This is hilarious. I don't think she realizes how afraid they are of her. Once she wins a seat, any seat, their entire house of cards will come tumblin' down. She will break through a glass ceiling, Claar will no longer be able to control who gets elected, or not.

I predict, as a result, more talented people will step up and run. The balance of control shifts from Claar to a new regime, unknown.

Claar and his Regime are scared as hell!

That's why they're so desperate to slam her every chance they get.

Come on, if Rhonda's really losing votes each and every time she runs, why attack her? Let her run again, and again until she's down to zero votes.

It's F.E.A.R. They know she's got a chance. Even more importantly, they know there are ambitious candidates hiding in the bushes waiting for their turn to jump out.

Candidates that are smart and tough like Rhonda.

They know time is running out.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yes! I'm starting to see lots of tiny cracks in that huge First Pty wall. We got more work to do.

That wall is coming down, whether they like it or not.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Let's compare. In 2009 she got a total of 2,181 votes out of 13,936. In 2011, she got 1,083 votes out of 11,065. Less than 1/2 of what she got the first time she ran. Her downfall was probably her alignment with the Crazy Train.

If anyone is scared, it looks like it's her. If she thought that she could win, she would be running. She says that she wants to change things.

What better way to change things than to be a trustee that can speak up and vote?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Anonymoous 2:20pm, what's your strategy here? To keep posting the same statement over and over, hoping someone will believe you?

Or, do you have a problem with basic math?

In 2011, there were more candidates running for V.Trustee, and less people voting. Her numbers had no place to go but down. Very few people voted.

    What's wrong with you?

Why do you continue to post a statement that's obviously wrong?

This is no longer a legitimate debate, it's illogical jibberish, based on 100% f.e.a.r.

    Game over.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Numbers don't lie.

The FACTS are that both times Rhonda ran for trustee, she couldn't get enough people to vote for her to be elected.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Game over reminds me of the checkmate blogs from the Bolingbrook Report not too long ago. LOL!

We all know that outcome of that game now don't we ; )

  24. Good evening, All:

Thanks for taking the time to share your comments.

As stated in the article, this is an exciting time for fiscal conservatives, no matter the political party affiliation.

I am looking forward to another 3 years of spreading the benefits of fiscal conservatism, highlighting government waste, encouraging debate, and meeting with members of the community via TNC website.

Just this year, we added the blog, which now gives visitors an opportunity to share their opinion, and make their voices heard.

The blog has proven to be a successful addition to the website.

Coming soon, we will be hosting a monthly meeting to give fiscal conservatives (in the community) an opportunity to meet, eat and discuss government finance, local issues, and hot topics on a regular basis.

In addition, We will publish a monthly newsletter to mail-out to members that sign up via the Vistor Feedback Form.

We are really excited about the new projects on the horizon, and welcome you to join us.

    Get plugged-in. Stay plugged-in.
