Nice Cream's required to purchase a $40k pasteurizing machine or the government will shut her down.
Will you call Senator Wilhelmi, and Rep. McAsey, to see if they would consider sponsoring a bill that removes the prohibitive barriers preventing small ice-cream businesses from competing in the marketplace?

Excuse me, but I for one consider the pasteurization of milk products kind of important. Ever heard of E. coli and salmonella? It seems to me if you are going to go into the food business you would look it to what the health regulations are beforehand.
ReplyDeleteJust because you are a small, startup business doesn't give you an excuse to avoid the same health regulations that a larger business has to follow. If I opened a hamburger stand I have to serve government inspected meat just like McDonald's does. This isn't a question of government regulations as it is a matter of public health. If you want to know what the food business was like before all this government regulation and red tape, I suggest you read Upton Sinclair's The Jungle.
