Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday - A Time For Reflection

Martin Luther King, Jr. was more than a civil rights pioneer who limit his fight to African American rights.  This may have been the case when he started, but definitely not the case when he died.

With God as his guide, King's message of equality and the belief that we are all God's creation touch on a much bigger issue -  we must pay attention to the social injustice, and human rights issues of all people.

Take a moment to read the letter Martin Luther King, Jr. wrote in 1963, while sitting in the Birmingham City jail. (click on link below)  Every racial, ethnic, and religious group can personally relate to the devastating effects of prejudice and discrimination, so eloquently described in King's letter.
