This shows how the income tax system has evolved into a device "spreading the wealth around." What do the liberals want? Only half of our country pays the tax...the other half gets benefits and pays no tax. Will they be satisfied when the top 20% pays and bottom 80% pays nothing? This system encourages failure and keeps people down. We need a simpler flatter tax which does not subsidize the underachievers. By subsidizing the underachievers, the system rewards them and keeps them down. It's a terrible system.
Most of those in the bottom 49% are receiving benefits from those above 50% (paying taxes). Those receiving benefits are really like welfare recipients. This is not a good system.
